Belgrade Nightlife – affordable rentals

The “sin city”, Balkan party center, metropolis that attracts hedonists from the region and the world… How did the capital of one of the Europe’s poorest countries manage to gain such a flattering reputation? Perhaps it’s the tragic historical experience and weight of everyday life that forced its citizens to live for the moment and party like there’s no tomorrow. We can even talk about a specific mentality, a kind of a hedonistic culture that puts entertainment high on the priority list. Unlike most European cities, you’ll find thousands of young and middle-aged folks sitting in cafes and bars, every day from late morning till after midnight. Sociologists typically explain this phenomenon by citing high unemployment rates, but there’s certainly an existential philosophy that places enjoyment before any work ethic. Maybe it’s bad for the economy, but it is certainly a tourist sensation. The immediacy and easy-going character of Belgraders is what made this city a favorable destination for party maniacs from all over the globe.

There are several streets and neighborhoods with record number of catering establishments, be it bars, cafes or nightclubs. One of the prominent location is the Strahinjica Bana Street, also known as the “Silicon Valley”, with a number of cafe-bars such as Insomnia, Aristocrat, Fracci, Pin-Up Girls, Kandahar, Primitive, Kontra, Troika, Déjà vu, Soho, also swanky restaurants like the Duomo, Nachos, Kashmir, De Balzac, etc. VIP figures from the world of local media, sports, business and politics are frequent guests. Working hours are generally till 00h. A chance to explore all these attractions is the luxury apartment JACUZZI. Equipped with a double bed and two single beds, it is suitable for up to four guests. Another convenient lodging in the same street, apartment BAN, can accommodate six visitors. Knez Mihailova Street, Kalemegdan Park, Republic Square and other classic attractions are a five-minute walk. Nearby, practically around the corner, is the King Peter Street, hosting a number of popular cafes and restaurants. Central, Music star, Que Pasa, Triangle, Muha, to name just a few, are easily accessible if you select apartment FOREST. It has two bedrooms and can accommodate up to five guests.

The next, equally exciting location, is Obilicev Venac with and cafe-bars like Okno, Stres, Tanjug, Parliament, Symbol, Gecko, Iron, Lime, etc. You can have all of this practically in front of the building with apartment LOFT, suitable for four visitors. It includes air conditioning, heating, internet and cable TV. The public garage is located across the street. Terazije Square is also an attractive hang out, especially Nusiceva Street with its immediate neighborhood. Some of the most popular places include café Image, Corto, Greenet, Casina, Biblioteka, Rabbit, Shahrazad, Grotto and many others. On the site, we propose a nice two-bedroom apartment GREENET, for up to six visitors. Public garage near the “Politika” is easily reachable. Another hotspot is the Slavia Square and Njegosheva Street, with a host of interesting cafes like the Chameleon, Eclipse, Jump, Mania, Cavallino, Cream, Charisma, Liquid, The Fifth Element and others. Perfect opportunity for lodging in the aforementioned streets is apartment METROPOLIS. Two-room by structure, it comprises a living room with convertible sofa and a bedroom with a French bed. If you arrive by car, parking is available along the street or in the parking lot at Slavia Square.

So, after having some cocktails and aperitifs, it’s time to hit the dance floor. Currently mega popular district Savamala offers a variety of venues, from small pubs and comedy clubs to the typical DJ parties. We propose the Mixer House, as an informal cultural center, then the Industry Bar, Prohibition, Inbox, Mladost, 100, Peron, Berliner, Ben Akiba comedy club, Depo, Monsoon, Lipstick and the list goes on. Here, apartment BRANKOW has almost a strategically convenient location. Aside from the listed clubs, it gives you easy access to the ever popular river boats. Staying in Belgrade is inconceivable without the cult places like Stefan Braun and Teatro club, for which we propose luxury apartment EXCLUSIVE. It boasts modern design, pleasant wall colors and accommodations for four guests. Another affordable place, in the same street, is apartment REX. Located near the hotel REX after which it was named, the apartment is suitable for a romantic couple, possibly four friends.

Finally, if you want to “seal the deal” with traditional drinks and old tavern ambience, the bohemian quarter Skadarlia is indispensable. Some of the legendary “kafanas” include Dunja, Tri sheshira, Dva jelena, Ringishpil, Troika, Plavi Andjeo, etc. The authentic sound of brass bands and tamburitzas never fail to impress. For staying in this part of town, we recommend apartment MANAGER, suitable for up to five guests. Strahinjica Bana Street and Skadarlia are practically around the corner. If you’re looking for affordable lodging in the very Skadarska Street, we recommend apartment SKADARLIA, a perfectly romantic accommodation for two. If you arrive by car, parking is available in the street (fee-zone 1), or in the public garage near the Politika building.
